Visit Governors Island this Fourth of July Weekend

Governors Island is the place to celebrate this Fourth of July! Bring a picnic, go for a scenic bike ride, wave to the Statue of Liberty from the top of Outlook Hill or just take a peaceful nap in a hammock. Swing by Threes Brewing at Liggett Terrace all afternoon for a special July 4th BBQ with Popina! Learn more about the Island and its history with the U.S. Army and Coast Guard at Castle Williams, half of Governors Island National Monument, on a tour led by a National Park Service Ranger.
