About Hot­Box Mobile Sauna
Hot­Box Mobile Sauna is an NYC-born, wood-burn­ing sauna on wheels cel­e­brat­ing com­mu­ni­ty, well­ness and con­ver­sa­tion. The queer-owned sauna start­ed in 2018 and has been pop­ping up all over the city since, part­ner­ing with oth­er small busi­ness­es, spaces, and com­mu­ni­ty mem­bers to host month­ly res­i­den­cies for every­one to enjoy. 

Inspired by glob­al bath cul­ture (espe­cial­ly the rich his­to­ry of NYC bath cul­ture), the Liv­ing Lots NYC Project, and the need for queer and trans cen­tered well­ness spaces, Hot­Box was start­ed as a hope­ful way to embrace and cel­e­brate com­mu­ni­ty in back­yards, dri­ve­ways and vacant lots.
