Stop by Liggett Ter­race to take a look at this solar pow­ered Micro­Fac­to­ry, oper­at­ed by Cir­cu­lar Econ­o­my Man­u­fac­tur­ing. At the Micro­Fac­to­ry, they shred post-con­sumer plas­tic col­lect­ed by the City of New York that may oth­er­wise be land­filled, melt it and mold it into prod­ucts using only the attached solar pan­els for pow­er. The Micro­Fac­to­ry is an off-grid man­u­fac­tur­ing oper­a­tion con­tained in a portable ship­ping con­tain­er that pro­duces no tox­ins, pol­lu­tants nor waste. 

The team will be onsite select win­ter week­ends from 12 – 3pm to con­duct tours, answer ques­tions, and sell prod­ucts made right here on Gov­er­nors Island with post-con­sumer plas­tic waste! Click here to shop their online store.
