Filmshop

Found­ed in 2009, Filmshop is a non­prof­it col­lec­tive of inde­pen­dent film­mak­ers com­mit­ted to devel­op­ing new work through peer sup­port and col­lab­o­ra­tion. Chap­ters in Brook­lyn, Man­hat­tan, Los Ange­les and New Orleans meet week­ly to work­shop projects, offer con­struc­tive cri­tique, and incu­bate new ideas.

Return­ing for their third sea­son, Filmshop will con­tin­ue to show­case their col­lec­tive’s cre­ativ­i­ty and artis­tic diver­si­ty through pub­lic screen­ings, pre­sen­ta­tions, exhi­bi­tions, and edu­ca­tion­al work­shops. They will engage audi­ences to fos­ter a deep­er con­nec­tion between cre­ators and the pub­lic while hon­or­ing their com­mu­ni­ty’s past and future.
