What's Your (G) Status

“What’s Your (G) Sta­tus” pro­pos­es that we are all immi­grants from dif­fer­ent gen­er­a­tions: G‑0 born else­where, G‑1 first gen­er­a­tion born here and so on. At (G) Pop-Ins adults and chil­dren are invit­ed to engage in sto­ry­telling about their immi­gra­tion sta­tus and expe­ri­ence – either as a new immi­grant to the U.S. or through their fam­i­ly his­to­ry. Through the process, par­tic­i­pants explore our com­mon truth as Amer­i­cans: that we are ALL immi­grants and are trans­formed into cre­ators, sto­ry­tellers, and ambas­sadors for our mission.

Par­tic­i­pants cre­ate an impromp­tu art­work on a (G) Project-designed card that they hang in our (G) Pop In Gallery, record a video to share their sto­ries and pose for a por­trait.
