The Light Show

The Light Show pro­vides a pho­to­graph­ic look at the first sea­son of Beam Camp City on Gov­er­nors Island through the eyes of the youth staff Doc­u­men­ta­tion Team. Over the course of 5 weeks, Beam Camp City wel­comed youth from NYC pub­lic schools, com­mu­ni­ty-based orga­ni­za­tions, and host­ed orga­ni­za­tions. For this exhi­bi­tion, the Doc­u­men­ta­tion Team turned their artis­tic eyes to cap­tur­ing the essence of Beam Camp City — the light that NYC youth bring to Beam. A selec­tion of their pho­tos, on view Sat­ur­days & Sun­days through August 15, invites vis­i­tors to expe­ri­ence Beam Camp City for themselves.
