Soissons Landing - Soissons Landing - LMCC's Arts Center

Free and open to all. RSVPs are rec­om­mend­ed, but not required. 

Join us for a day of work­shops, per­for­mances, and cel­e­bra­tions for all ages that will cre­ate com­mu­ni­ty and ele­vate Black voic­es. Through this day-long event, we will work togeth­er to cre­ate a safe and nur­tur­ing space for self care and reflec­tion where par­tic­i­pants can tune in to their needs, hon­or their feel­ings, and begin to return to themselves.

11AM: Doors Open

11:30AM-12PM: Sound Bath with The Heal­ing Tree NYC, curat­ed by DuYe Moves

12 – 1PM: Unapolo­get­i­cal­ly Ours: Redefin­ing and Reclaim­ing Safe Spaces, fea­tur­ing Moradeyo Adeyi (Men­tal Health Psy­chother­a­pist), Teya Knapp (Men­tal Health Advo­cate & Activist; CEO, A Safe Space Men­tor), Ben­je Williams (Cofounder & CEO, Out­landish), and Shel­ley Wor­rell (Founder & CEO, I AM caribBE­ING). Mod­er­at­ed by Shola Gbe­mi (Social Impact Strategist). 

1 – 3PM: Social Hour with DJ sets curat­ed by Half Moon BK, flo­ral give­aways from Stolen Mag­no­lia, art activ­i­ties with Red Hook Art Project, and food and drink from Mak­i­na Café.

2:30, 3, 3:30PM: Fer­ries off the Island (no sep­a­rate tick­et required)
