June Flux Saturday: Tangled Vines

For June’s Flux Sat­ur­day, Abby Cheney and Han­na Wash­burn invite you to join them in cre­at­ing Tan­gled Vines, a tem­po­rary instal­la­tion made of reused and recy­cled mate­ri­als. The instal­la­tion will be an exquis­ite corpse of mate­ri­als from the artist’s own stu­dios, MFTA, found objects, and items brought by col­lab­o­ra­tors or passers­by. They will work across media, pri­mar­i­ly using fab­ric and string to stitch and tie every­thing togeth­er. The art­work will expand through­out the course of the day, reach­ing through dif­fer­ent rooms and out into the front lawn.

All are invit­ed to bring mate­ri­als they wish to add to the instal­la­tion, which will be con­struct­ed on June 24 and on view through June 25.
