Labyrinth Arts Collective: Face to Face
Labyrinth Arts Collective, Inc. Is honored to be a participating arts group this season on Governor’s Island! There will be a portrait exhibition inside Building 7A, Nolan Park area in the Northeastern side of the island. The collective now represents not only the Tri-State Area of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania but international artists as well. Hourly workshops led by artists encourage visitors to create self-portraits, dress in character, build a wall of portraits, and imagine how they see themselves as they wish. Picture ops will be provided!

THEME: Imagine Thineself or One Another
MEDIUM: Photography, Mixed Media. All materials provided by Labyrinth Arts Collective, Inc.
Hourly Scheduled Hands on Workshops to encourage visitors to Imagine themselves, do self portraits with artist led workshops, creating images of themselves or of how they see others, create face masks to define who they are or who they want the world to see them as, learning to express personality with facial expressions and word speak the art of acting out who you are.
Younger participants not interested in art will be encouraged to play dress up as their favorite characters, in favorite props we will have on hand.
A Wall of Personalities and Characters
*A wall of personalities and characters will feature the hands on art created by each participating visitor in celebration for who we are and how we view each other.

Upon completion, each visitor will take their personality and /or creation and strike their special pose so they can be captured in a portrati:
