Jenny Kendler: Down to the Sea in Ships

Own a one-of-a-kind orig­i­nal art­work cre­at­ed in hon­or of Oth­er of Pearl on Gov­er­nors Island 

Cre­at­ed to sup­port Jen­ny Kendler’s exhib­it Oth­er of Pearl, on view through Novem­ber 3, this dip­tych depicts film stills from the 1922 silent film Down to the Sea in Ships—a whal­ing ship jux­ta­posed with the eye of a cap­tured sperm whale. The lim­it­ed-edi­tion print was cre­at­ed in col­lab­o­ra­tion with Pow­er­house Arts using a spe­cial­ly devel­oped float­ing” mono­print tech­nique and iri­des­cent pig­ments, mak­ing each set unique. 

Each set in a num­bered edi­tion out of 26 and includes two 18“x 24″ prints signed and num­bered by the artist.
