Water Taxi Beach Governors Island will hit the Harbor this summer

New York Water Taxi has announced that it will bring its very popular Water Taxi Beach to Governors Island this summer. Water Taxi Beach on Governors Island will be a great addition to all that is happening here. It will provide a waterfront and beach experience filled with sun, food and music. New Yorkers and others will be able to play beach volleyball, eat at the café and outdoor grill, and hear great live performances and DJs. Water Taxi Beach will be located on the Island’s northern shore, right next to the ferry dock. The location provides unparalleled views of the Brooklyn and Manhattan skylines, as well as the East River bridges. Water Taxi Beach is just the newest addition to the summer on Governors Island, and make sure you check back for more updates on our public access season as we get closer to May 30 when the Island opens to visitors.
