Come build with KoKo NYC! KoKo NYC is an arts-based science and engineering program for kids. The use of repurposed materials as the foundation of KoKo’s building supplies engenders environmental awareness as well as a spirit of innovation. Kids learn to make art from their environment, to see “trash” as an opportunity to create something new.

KoKo NYC will present a series of free public workshops for children ages 7+ focusing on the creation of sustainable energy machines, such as bike generators and windmills. Kids will use lumber, recycled materials and simple hand tools (saws, hammers, screwdrivers, etc.) to experiment and construct their creative machines under the guidance of KoKo teaching artists. The two-day workshops will be held on May 26 & 27, June 22 & 23, July 20 & 21 and August 17 & 18. No registration required, all are welcome to drop in!
