STAY – September 14-15
On Site Opera, NYC’s innovative site-specific opera company, presents workshop performances of STAY, a new opera by John Glover and Kelley Rourke. STAY is being written specifically for Dysfunctional’s house on Governors Island. Small audiences will be invited into the house to experience opera in a new way, all based around an original ghost story. The 45-minute performance will be followed by a discussion with the cast and creators in order to improve the piece for its eventual world premiere. Join On Site and play an active role in the creation of a world premiere opera!
Performance For One – September 21, 22, 28, 29
Performance for One: a seven minute play by Edward Einhorn written for one performer and one audience member, repeated every ten minutes. An old memory is explored, a new one created. What is the responsibility of the audience member in creating it?
