Join NADA, Paddle8, EFA Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop, and Essex Flowers for a summer picnic potluck at NADA House on Governors Island on Saturday, July 13th, 3–5pm. A selection of participating NADA House galleries and artists will be present, and artist Ayana Evans (EFA Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop) will perform and host a t-shirt screenprinting workshop.

Based on her two year performance where she wore a laminated sign on her back that read “I Just Came Here To Find a Husband” at events where she hoped to find a life partner, Ayana Evans will be leading a workshop on the craft of screenprinting on t-shirts and the hunt for love.

Audiences are encouraged to participate to learn more about this technique–become part of the performance when you wear your own hidden desires on a shirt.

This performance workshop is in conjunction with Ayana Evans, NADA House installation on Governors Island, “My Colonial Get-away: Fu**it, I Ain’t Budging,” presented by EFA Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop.
