Sculpturescape is a summer long program celebrating the making of the three dimensional art object. Consisting of three exhibitions, a series of 2 day workshops, and summer long artist residencies, Sculpturescape aims to cultivate creative expression and appreciation of sculpture. Exhibitions include:
Go Figure, produced by the Sculptors Alliance and organized by Anne Stanner, with David C. Terry, juror; Reclaimed Construction, a site specific indoor installation using reclaimed materials, created by artists in residence, at Nolan Park; as well as a juried show of small works, titled Knock on Wood, focusing on the theme of wood as a material, subject matter, or inspiration.
Reclaimed Construction and Knock on Wood are produced by Into The Wood and curated by Vida Sabbaghi, guest curator at the Queens Museum.
