Boc­ce and Bugs in Colonels Row

There is lit­er­al­ly some­thing for every­one on Gov­er­nors Island this weekend.

Put your lawn skills to the test on Sat­ur­day and head over to Colonels Row and play some boc­ce. After a game, lis­ten to the guest deejays,and grab some food or a beer at the beer/​wine tent.

If cars are more your thing, you are in luck! On Sun­day, the Volk­swa­gen Traf­fic Jam comes to the Island fea­tur­ing a vibrant line-up of near­ly 100 Bee­tles, bus­es, dune bug­gies, Things, and oth­er orig­i­nal VW’s cir­ca 1950’s — 1970’s.

And, Sex­tant Works is fea­tur­ing sev­er­al work­shops and mas­ter class­es for those that want to learn some­thing new. 

Fer­ries are free until noon from Man­hat­tan and Brook­lyn so hop on the boat, grab a bike and an ice cream, take in the views and enjoy all that is hap­pen­ing here.
